Corporate venture capital is rapidly transforming from being a tag-along in deals to becoming a major player in the startup universe, at all stages of the startup life cycle. The Bay Area, in particular, has seen an influx of new corporate venture groups and venture funds in the last three years, all wanting to tap into the vibrant startup culture of Silicon Valley.

This luncheon series for members of corporate venture teams provides a forum for discussion of trends and issues of mutual interest, best practices for setting up and running corporate venture funds, and for networking with peers from the top Bay Area CVCs.

Among the subjects to be addressed by the panelists at this event are:

  • Different operating models of corporate venture groups — what works, what doesn’t
  • End-to-end processes recommended by panelists in making investments
  • Deal flow, or how startups and entrepreneurs can connect with CVCs
  • Best approaches for helping startups benefit from corporate investors
  • Successful post-investment strategies for creating value

Attendees will be invited to submit questions about pressing concerns during registration, as well as during the Q/A session.

Agenda:
Registration and Lunch: 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Panel Discussion: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
