VC Taskforce Announces Seed Stage Investor
Elevator Pitch Series

New series launches in San Francisco

Palo Alto, CA, April 5, 2011 – VC Taskforce™, an organization committed to enhancing collaboration in the venture community, today announced the launch of the Seed Stage Investor Elevator Pitch Series. Fueled by a surge of interest in seed stage investments, the twelve events featured will be held in San Francisco and will focus on fostering a dialogue and exchange of ideas among seed stage investors and entrepreneurs raising capital.  A seed stage investor generally invests $100,000 to $200,000 in an early stage technology company as compared to traditional angels who may invest $25,000 to $50,000.

The inaugural Seed Stage Investor Elevator Pitch was held on March 7, 2011 at Hanson Bridgett LLP in San Francisco.  Ten entrepreneurs delivered a two minute pitch of their business plans to a standing room only audience and a panel of seed stage investors.  The panel of investors included:  Richie Hecker, Seed Stage Angel NYC and SF (led the purchase of Bebo from AOL), Bruce Taragin, Managing Director of Blumberg Capital, Andrew Mitchell, Managing Director of ZIG Capital, Randy Hawks, Managing Director of Claremont Creek Ventures, and Noah Doyle, Managing Director of Javelin Venture Partners.

“VC Taskforce’s Seed Stage Investor Elevator Pitch event was a great opportunity to pitch to interested, engaged and experienced investors.  Their questions and comments were very relevant and provided useful feedback enabling us to better hone our message for the investor audience,” Scott Allison, Founder and CEO of Teamly and one of the ten entrepreneurs who pitched at the first event.

“Being a part of the panel offers a great opportunity for getting a quick glimpse into the business plans of quite a number of entrepreneurs,” Randy Hawks, Managing Director of Claremont Creek Ventures,  “the format is fast paced and packs in good feedback to the presenters.  As an investor, I really enjoyed the ability to drink from a “fire hose of opportunity””.

The next Seed Stage Investor Elevator Pitch will be on April 11, 2011 at the law offices of Hanson Bridgett LLC in San Francisco.
